We need your help to grow Good Hope Farm! Join us for one of our monthly workdays (on the 3rd Saturday of each month), or contact us to schedule a volunteer event for your group.
What to Expect:
If you like spending time outside, Good Hope Farm is a great place for you! Volunteers assist with projects that support local farmers and educational programming. Depending on which workday you attend, projects could include:
- Site cleanup and maintenance
- Weeding and mulching
- Planting
Farm or garden experience is helpful, but not required; you will received training on workday tasks. Volunteers must be at least 11 years old, and volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Preparing for the Workday:
- Click Register Now to view upcoming volunteer opportunities.
- A waiver is required to volunteer at Good Hope Farm. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver on their behalf. You will receive a copy of the waiver via email prior to the workday.
- Wear closed-toe, protective shoes and clothes that can get dirty.
- Bring a water bottle. You will need to bring your own cooler if you wish to keep anything cold.
- Hats, sunscreen, and bug spray are recommended.
- Bring work gloves if you have them.
- Workdays are held rain or shine, with the exception of any severe weather (snow, thunderstorms). If the workday is canceled, we will post an announcement on our Facebook page no later than 7AM on the morning of the workday.
